When you use the Cortex Waitlist, we collect the following information:
- Wallet Address — Your Solana public key, used as your identity. We never access your private keys.
- Email Address — Provided during registration for verification and communication.
- Twitter/X Account — If you choose to connect, we store your public username, display name, and profile image URL.
- Referral Data — Your referral code and who referred you.
- Registration Timestamp — When you joined the waitlist.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Private keys or seed phrases
- Wallet balances or transaction history
- Passwords (authentication is wallet-signature based)
- Browsing activity or tracking cookies
3. How We Use Your Information
- To verify your identity and manage your waitlist position.
- To send verification codes via email during registration.
- To operate the referral program.
- To communicate important updates about Cortex (email only).
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (EU-Frankfurt). All connections use SSL encryption. Email OTP codes are stored as SHA-256 hashes. Sessions are server-side with httpOnly secure cookies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Data is only shared with:
- Resend — Email delivery service (receives your email address to send OTP codes).
- Twitter/X API — Only if you choose to connect your account (OAuth 2.0, read-only access).
6. Data Retention
Your registration data is retained as long as the Cortex Waitlist is active. Temporary data (sessions, OTP codes, login challenges) is automatically cleaned up daily.
7. Your Rights
- You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
- You may view your stored data through the dashboard.
- You may disconnect your Twitter account at any time.
8. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax). We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
